Theatre Kavanah is partnering with writer Joy Cohen to develop her play based on the Lost Shul Mural of Burlington, Vermont. In preparation for the unveiling of this new work, we bring you two films that shed light on the mural and put it in the context of its Eastern European origins. Our culminating event will be a staged reading of Joy’s new play, “Of the Better Kind,” in multi-sensory program featuring food, music, and a real taste of “Little Jerusalem!” The play was also inspired by Raise the Roof and our replication of the Gwozdziec Synagogue.
